Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of oropharyngeal cancer
- Age 18 years or older
- Female or male participants; male to female ratio approximately 4 to 1
- Received radiotherapy treatment in the Department of Radiation Oncology
- Experiencing snoring and/or breathing difficulties during sleep
You will not qualify if you...
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Missing teeth preventing retention of the oral appliance
- Taking opioid or anxiolytic medications
- History of major depression
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure
- History of stroke
- Currently using CPAP treatment for sleep apnea
- Experiencing regular and intense orofacial pain
- Taking medications for insomnia
- Excessive use of alcohol or drugs such as cannabis or opioids
