Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosed with head and neck cancer planned for radiation therapy
- Require extraction of two or more teeth on both sides of the jaw
- Teeth to be extracted must be similar in size (e.g., molar and molar)
- Tooth extractions must be atraumatic without flap surgery
- Participants must be 18 years of age or older
You will not qualify if you...
- Previous radiation therapy in the head and neck area
- Current or past treatment with bisphosphonates or similar biologic drugs
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
