Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patient acceptance
- American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status 1 or 2
- Body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or less
- Elective craniotomy for brain tumor removal
- Surgery expected to last up to 4 hours
You will not qualify if you...
- Hemodynamic instability or expected need for mechanical ventilation after surgery
- Known allergy to study drugs
- Advanced liver, kidney, heart, or neurological diseases
- Regular chronic opioid use
