Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 45 and 80 years
- Diagnosed with advanced primary angle closure glaucoma meeting specific eye pressure, optic nerve, and visual field criteria
- No or mild cataracts with uncorrected visual acuity of at least 0.63
- Axial eye length of 20 mm or more
You will not qualify if you...
- History of eye surgery or trauma
- Presence of retinal disease affecting eye measurements or other types of glaucoma
- Best-corrected visual acuity below 0.01 in the non-study eye (monophthalmia)
- International Standardized Ratio above 3.0 for patients on warfarin or anticoagulants before surgery
- Serious systemic diseases
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
