Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Right-hand dominance for neurotypical participants
  • Age range 18 to 23 for neurotypical participants (Aim 1)
  • Neurotypical participants similar in age to stroke participants (Aim 2)
  • Neurotypical participants have no musculoskeletal or neurological conditions (Aim 2)
  • Stroke participants have had a single unilateral stroke (ischemic or hemorrhagic) (Aim 2)
  • Stroke participants are more than 1 year from stroke onset (chronic phase) (Aim 2)
  • Stroke participants had stroke onset after age 18 (Aim 2)
  • Stroke participants can provide informed consent regardless of aphasia (Aim 2)
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Minors
  • Pregnant women
  • Prisoners
  • Adults unable to consent on their own behalf
  • Stroke participants who used antispastic injections in the past 6 months (Aim 2)
  • Stroke participants with lesions in brainstem and/or cerebellum (Aim 2)
  • Stroke participants with stroke caused by brain surgery (Aim 2)
  • Stroke participants with hemineglect (Aim 2)
