Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Meet criteria for ASD on clinical assessments such as ADOS-2, CARS (if done remotely), and ADI-R
- Aged between 12 and 45 years old
- Have a reliable informant able to complete relevant questionnaires
- Have DARB scores indicating high levels (50% or above) of restricted and repetitive behaviors in domains like Insistence on Sameness, Obsessive Compulsive Behaviors, or Unusual Interests
You will not qualify if you...
- Any contraindications for TMS such as history of seizures except substance-induced/fever-induced seizures with neurologist note or normal EEG and no seizures in last 12 months
- Pregnancy
- Any current or past physical condition that might increase risk or interfere with study results as judged by the investigator
- Active substance use within 1 week or intoxication confirmed by toxicology for cocaine, amphetamines, benzodiazepines
- Symptoms of withdrawal from alcohol or benzodiazepines
- Diagnosis of bipolar disorder or psychotic disorder like schizophrenia
- Significant sensory impairments such as blindness or deafness
- Severe insomnia with less than 4 hours sleep the night before stimulation
- Unwillingness to cooperate with TMS procedures
- Currently taking Clozapine or other medication increasing TMS risk or disrupting efficacy
- Motor threshold too high for safe or tolerable treatment
- Conditions that increase risk for COVID-19 per university guidelines
