Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 65 years
- Expected operation time 65 2 hours
- Postoperative hospital stay 65 4 days
- Signed informed consent form
You will not qualify if you...
- Neurosurgery or cardiac surgery
- Emergency surgery within 6 hours of admission
- End-stage disease with expected survival less than 3 months
- Severe preoperative cognitive dysfunction
- Severe sinus bradycardia, second-degree or higher AV block, pacemaker placement
