Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Trauma patients with suspected blunt traumatic aortic injury (BTAI) in the emergency department
- Patients who undergo both transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and computed tomography angiography (CTA)
You will not qualify if you...
- Children under 18 years of age
- Patients with contraindications to TEE such as suspected esophageal injury or pathology
