Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 65 years
- Diagnosis of depression by DSM-IV criteria using a structured clinical interview
- Antidepressant treatment started less than 5 days before joining the study
- Receiving outpatient treatment
- Informed of their depression diagnosis
- Able and willing to provide written informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Current mental or psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder requiring medication or hospitalization
- History of psychosis including schizophrenia, bipolar I or II, or major depression with psychotic features
- Cognitive impairments preventing understanding of the study and consent
- Disorders that prevent use of the smartphone device (e.g., deafness, vision problems, illiteracy)
- Inability to understand French
