Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male or female patients, 18 < age < 55
- Complete ACL injury candidates for surgical reconstruction
- Cartilaginous lesion of femur-tibial compartment grade III-IV ICRS ≤3 cm2 confirmed during surgery
- No evidence of osteoarthritis
- Ability and consent to participate in clinical and radiological follow-up
- Signed informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Incapable of understanding or consenting
- Immunodepression
- Malignant neoplasms
- Rheumatic diseases
- Non-compensated diabetes
- Uncompensated thyroid metabolic disorders
- Abuse of alcohol or drugs
- Axial deviations greater than 5°
- Body Mass Index over 35
- Surgery on the same knee within previous 12 months
- Cartilaginous lesions grade I-II by ICRS score
- Cartilage lesions larger than 3 cm²
- Non-suturable meniscal lesions requiring meniscectomy over 50% or previous meniscectomies over 50% in same compartment
- Need for additional surgical procedures beyond ACL reconstruction and possible nanofractures
