Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 65 years
- Diagnosis of medication-overuse headache according to the International Classification of Headache Disorders, 3rd edition (ICHD-3)
- Medication-overuse headache related to triptans or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
- Previous diagnosis of chronic migraine or chronic tension-type headache per ICHD-3 criteria
You will not qualify if you...
- History of severe head or neck trauma or previous neurosurgical intervention
- Severe psychiatric disorders such as severe depression or schizophrenia
- History of infectious disease, chronic inflammatory disease, or cancer
- Previous diagnosis of secondary headache
- History of substance abuse
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- History of other neurological disorders like cerebrovascular disease or multiple sclerosis
- Difficulty cooperating with study procedures
- Presence of systemic diseases impacting quality of life, including congestive heart failure, chronic kidney disease, chronic liver disease, pulmonary disease, uncontrolled diabetes, or peripheral vascular disease
