Observational Study of Tumor Treating Fields with Routine Care in Adults Diagnosed with Pleural Mesothelioma

What this Trial Is About

This research aims to collect real-world data on the use of Tumor Treating Fields TTFields in patients diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma who are receiving routine clinical care. It focuses on patients with this condition who have a clinical indication for TTFields treatment, as determined by their treating physician before enrollment. The study is observational and sponsored by NovoCure Ltd., seeking to understand the treatments outcomes in everyday medical settings. All participants will receive standard clinical care combined with TTFields therapy using the NovoTTF-200T System, following medical guidelines and the devices instructions for use. The study does not involve comparison groups, as all enrolled patients will undergo this treatment. There is no placebo or alternative intervention the focus is on monitoring and documenting treatment in routine practice. Participants will be observed over a period including up to 54 months to measure overall survival time from diagnosis. Safety will be assessed by counting treatment-related serious adverse events over a total observation period of three years plus an additional 18 months of follow-up. Quality of life will be evaluated at the start of treatment and again at three and six months. Participants will provide consent to use their medical data for research purposes, and their health will be monitored through these assessments during the study.
