Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients > 18 years old
  • Both sexes
  • All patients requiring prophylactic airway management such as those with Glasgow Coma Scale <8, needing endotracheal intubation in the intensive care unit
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Abnormal airway anatomy
  • Tracheal or endobronchial lesions
  • Significant cervical trauma
  • Cervical abnormalities
  • Neck swelling
  • Patients needing cardiopulmonary resuscitation
