Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of MGUS or SMM according to 2014 International Myeloma Working Group criteria
- Diagnosis confirmed by serum/urine protein electrophoresis, immunofixation, light-chain assays, bone marrow biopsy, or a combination
- Age 18 years or older
- Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of 0 to 3
- Competent to sign informed consent form
You will not qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of active Multiple Myeloma with detectable M-protein and evidence of end-organ damage by CRAB criteria or myeloma-defining events
- Prior therapy for Multiple Myeloma
- Known plasma cell or related lymphoid disorders such as lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma or Amyloid Light chain (AL) amyloidosis
- Lack of pathological diagnosis confirmation by pathology review or Hematopathologist
- Active symptomatic major organ disorders increasing biopsy or procedure risk (e.g., ischemic heart disease, recent myocardial infarction, active congestive heart failure, pulmonary dysfunction)
- Active medical or psychological illnesses that increase risk or prevent informed consent
- Pregnant or breast-feeding women
- Prisoners
