AI-Summary

What this Trial Is About

This research focuses on children aged 10 to 15 years old undergoing abdominal ultrasound examinations as part of routine clinical care. It aims to study the measurements of the Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA) in a healthy pediatric population to better understand normal values and their relationship with factors like age, Body Mass Index (BMI), and fat levels. Participants will have ultrasound measurements taken at the level of the left renal vein on a sagittal plane. These measurements will be recorded and stored in a database for analysis. The study is observational and multicenter, conducted to define the normal range of SMA angle and SMA-Aorta (SMA-A) distance values in children. Children involved in the study will have demographic information, clinical reasons for ultrasound, ultrasound diagnosis, and measurement data collected. Researchers will analyze the data to assess normal SMA values and their association with BMI categories. The main outcome is to establish the normal range of the SMA angle. The total participation includes a single day of ultrasound measurement and data collection.
