You may qualify if you...

  • Age > 18 years old
  • Signed and dated informed consent form provided
  • Predetermined to have difficult IV access requiring ultrasound-guided IV placement
  • Expected hospital admission with anticipated stay > 48 hours (as discussed with physician)
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Expected discharge from the emergency department (as discussed with physician)
  • Unable to provide informed consent
  • Pregnant women
  • Non-English speaking participants
