Ultrasound-guided Thermal Ablation for Bethesda III/IV Thyroid Nodules
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Confirmation of Bethesda III or IV thyroid nodules by fine-needle aspiration and negative Braf V600E test
- No clinical or imaging evidence of extrathyroidal extension, lymph node metastasis, or distant metastasis on ultrasound, neck and chest CT
- Refusal of or ineligibility for surgery
- Follow-up time of at least 12 months
You will not qualify if you...
- Follicular neoplasm or malignancy found on biopsy
- No suspicion of malignancy on ultrasound
- Presence of contralateral vocal cord paralysis
- Follow-up time less than 12 months
