Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Children between the ages of 7-17.
  • Youth currently resides in Miami-Dade County.
  • Children and their parents must be able to speak and understand English and/or Spanish sufficiently well to complete study procedures.
  • At least one parent or caregiver living with the child can accompany and participate in all visits.
  • Positive indication of elevated emotional concerns (anxiety, depression, trauma, or obsessive-compulsive symptoms) from interview or standardized scales.
  • Youth with other comorbid conditions can participate if emotional disorder is the main concern and this treatment is appropriate.
  • Youth and parent must attend at least one in-person session if treatment is mainly virtual.
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Prior receipt of at least 8 sessions of the UP-C/A program at CAMAT.
  • Psychiatric hospitalization in the previous 6 months.
  • Presence of another major problem area requiring priority services (e.g., eating disorder, substance-use disorder, primary externalizing concerns, psychotic symptoms).
  • Inability to wait for the next group treatment to start, declining therapist assignment after intake, or missing 3 or more scheduled sessions at CAMAT.
