Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients with confirmed unilateral primary aldosteronism
- Age between 18 and 70 years
- Suitable candidate for surgical treatment
- No contraindications for minimally invasive surgery or mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRA)
- Able to understand and provide oral and written informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Unwilling or unable to undergo surgery
- Unwilling to accept medical treatment for 12 months and not receiving standard treatment (surgery)
- Impaired renal function with eGFR less than 45 ml/min/1.73m2
- Elevated cortisol levels (P-cortisol >138 nmol/L) after 1-mg overnight dexamethasone suppression test
