Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Presenting to the Emergency Department (ED)
- Adult (> 18 years old)
- Ureteral stone 5 mm or larger diagnosed on CT scan
- Presence of symptoms such as pain, nausea, vomiting, or hematuria
You will not qualify if you...
- Strict indication for stent placement
- Stone burden not suitable for ureteroscopy
- Dirty urine analysis or positive urine culture
- Transplant kidney
- Presence of urinary conduit
- Comorbidities not optimized for surgery
- Strong preference for surgery or observation
