Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Men aged 50 to 70 years
- Diagnosis of bladder cancer with histological confirmation of urothelial carcinoma
- Negative urine culture
- Patients undergoing radical cystectomy
- Healthy male controls within the specified age range
- Men with benign urinary diseases such as renal cysts, benign prostatic obstruction, or ureteral obstruction undergoing surgery
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of other cancers
- History of previous BCG therapy
- Use of indwelling catheter
- Active antibiotic treatment within two months prior to participation
- History of sexually transmitted diseases
- Presence of chronic intestinal inflammation
- Prior neoadjuvant therapy
- Diabetes
- Chronic kidney disease
- Cardiac disease
- Liver disease
