Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Missed or anembryonic pregnancy
- Gestational age from 4 to 26 weeks confirmed by ultrasound on first day of admittance
- Hemoglobin level greater than 9 g/l
- Closed cervix
- No product of conception in the cervical canal
You will not qualify if you...
- Previous attempt to terminate the pregnancy
- Molar pregnancy
- Abnormal uterine lesions such as fibroids or congenital malformations
- Pregnancy despite intrauterine contraceptive device
- Medical disorders including cardiac, renal, or hemorrhagic diseases
- Body mass index (BMI) over 35 kg/m2
- Known hypersensitivity to any medication used in the study
