What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating a mobile application called RestoreMe designed to assist cancer patients with diet, nutrition, and physical activity. This study aims to understand how regularly patients use the app during their treatment and survivorship. The goal is to provide an educational platform that can influence patient behaviors and improve understanding of health. The study is conducted with patients diagnosed with invasive cancers in various body areas, focusing on those receiving or having received radiation therapy with curative intent. Participants will use the RestoreMe app, which offers nutrition education, personalized recommendations, recipes, exercises, and a way to communicate with healthcare providers. The study includes two groups of 25 patients: those about to start curative treatment and those in post-radiation therapy follow-up or survivorship care. The app is designed to be easy to use and accessible on smartphones or similar devices, supporting patient engagement throughout active treatment and survivorship. During the study, researchers will monitor how often patients and providers engage with the app daily, weekly, and monthly over approximately 12 months. They will assess patient satisfaction upon completing treatment or up to a year after starting the study. The study also tracks average interaction times, drop-out rates, and which app features are most used. Participants must be able to read and write in English and have a compatible device. The study includes regular assessments related to app usage and patient experience throughout the trial period.
