Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Weight between 10 and 30 kilograms
  • Age between 1 and 6 years
  • Both males and females
  • ASA physical status I or II
  • Undergoing elective surgery requiring airway management with an endotracheal tube
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Presence of upper airway malformations
  • History of upper airway surgery
  • Active respiratory illness such as cough, fever, or rhinorrhea on day of anesthesia
  • Anticipated difficult airway
