Participants to the study will be assigned to 7 cohorts according to the stage of disease and planned antitumor treatment at time of study entry. In all patients, 12 ml of blood sample will be collected in EDTA tube for analysis of biological biomarkers in different time points.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or older
- Histological diagnosis of prostate adenocarcinoma at different disease stages requiring treatment
- Written informed consent
- For Group 0: diagnosis of castration-sensitive or castration-resistant prostate cancer
- For Group 1a: patients with negative biopsy results for suspected prostate cancer
You will not qualify if you...
- Active infection requiring treatment
- Decline in general health condition
- Severe concomitant illnesses
- Difficult socioeconomic conditions preventing regular follow-up
- Need for steroid treatment at study entry or during study
- Diagnosis of a second tumor within the last 5 years
- For Group 0: antibiotic treatment within 2 months before enrollment
- For Group 1: previous radical surgery or radiotherapy, previous hormonal treatments
- For Group 2: antibiotic treatment within 2 months before enrollment (for metagenomics and metabolomics patients), previous hormonal treatments for advanced disease
- For Group 3: antibiotic treatment within 2 months before enrollment (for metagenomics and metabolomics patients)
