What this Trial Is About

Researchers are validating the French version of the Foot Health Status Questionnaire FHSQ-fr, a tool designed to sensitively detect changes in foot health and its impact on quality of life across various conditions. The study aims to provide reliable and valid data for French-speaking populations, building on the original Australian questionnaire, and to compare future French results internationally. This questionnaire is important since foot health significantly affects peoples quality of life and autonomy. Participants will complete several French-validated questionnaires including the FHSQ-fr, Foot Function Index, EuroQuality of Life 5D-5L EQ5D, Visual Analog Pain Scale VAPS, and the Short Form 12 Health Survey SF12 during their podiatry visits. For reliability assessment, a subset of 50 participants who receive no treatment will complete the FHSQ-fr again between 7 to 10 days later. This process helps establish the questionnaires consistency and stability over time. During the study, participants will be evaluated on foot pain, morphology, function, and posture as usual in a podiatric school setting. Researchers will analyze internal consistency, temporal stability, and measurement error of the questionnaire responses. The total participation involves completing questionnaires at the initial visit and, for some, a follow-up questionnaire within about a week. The studys findings will enhance understanding of foot health status and related quality of life in France and contribute to international research efforts.
