Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Hospitalized patients aged 18 years or older
- Moderate or worse valvular heart disease confirmed by echocardiography, including aortic stenosis, aortic regurgitation, mitral stenosis, mitral regurgitation, tricuspid stenosis, tricuspid regurgitation, pulmonic stenosis, or pulmonic regurgitation
- Patients who have undergone any cardiac valve operation such as percutaneous balloon commissurotomy, valve repair, valve replacement, or transcatheter aortic valve implantation
- Diagnosis of endocarditis based on Duke criteria
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients unable to be followed up for any reason
- Patients in critical condition with an expected lifespan less than one year
- Patients who have already been enrolled in this study
