- Patients admitted to the intensive care unit
- Patients who had a central venous catheter inserted during their ICU stay for any reason
- Patients whose central venous catheter was removed during their stay in the intensive care unit
- Adults aged 18 to 99 years
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients whose catheter insertion or removal did not occur during intensive care unit hospitalization
- Patients treated with full anticoagulation in the intensive care unit during the study period
- Patients outside the age range of 18 to 99 years (implied by inclusion criteria)
