This research investigates how adding a video that shows a real oral environment can improve the Tell-Show-Do technique used to reduce dental anxiety in children aged 4 to 6 years. The study aims to build trust with children and lessen their fear during different dental treatment stages by using a video that explains dental procedures with child-friendly expressions and animations. Participants are randomly assigned to one of two groups one group receives the traditional Tell-Show-Do technique without visual aids, and the other group experiences an enhanced version that includes a video simulating the oral environment and dental instruments. Both groups undergo conservative restorative treatment on mandibular primary molars. The video group watches specific video segments before each clinical step, followed by verbal explanations. Throughout a single dental visit, researchers measure anxiety using heart rate and oxygen saturation levels, an observer-rated behavior scale, and the Facial Image Scale. These assessments occur at multiple points, including before treatment, during local anesthesia, rubber dam placement, handpiece use, and restorative procedures. This comprehensive monitoring helps evaluate how the video-assisted technique affects childrens anxiety during dental care.
