What this Trial Is About
The primary goal of this project is to describe the clinical and physiologic characteristics of Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissections (SCAD) in order to increase awareness, understanding, treatment and prevention of a potentially fatal cardiovascular event. This study will be a retrospective and prospective review of medical course and current health of men and women with SCAD.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Individuals diagnosed with SCAD who have been treated at Mayo Clinic
- Women diagnosed with SCAD who were pregnant or within 12 months postpartum at the time of SCAD
- Individuals who self-identify as Black/African American, Asian, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, or Hispanic ethnicity
- Men diagnosed with SCAD
- Persons younger than 30 years of age diagnosed with SCAD
- Individuals diagnosed with SCAD within the past 2 weeks (acute SCAD)
- SCAD patients enrolling in any other Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Study
- Individuals with SCAD who have a relative with a history of SCAD
You will not qualify if you...
- Persons with a history of SCAD who do not meet the updated inclusion criteria are not enrolled at this time but may share contact information for future studies
