The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if virtual reality works to reduce anxiety in patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. You may qualify if you...

  • Indication to CT-guided biopsy in local anesthesia
  • Signed informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • No patient consent to participate in the trial
  • Not eligible for CT-guided needle biopsy or requires general anesthesia or sedation for the procedure
  • Does not speak Italian or English
  • Has visual or hearing impairment
  • Currently taking analgesics or anxiolytics
  • Has dementia, psychiatric disorders, headache, dizziness, recent head injury, epilepsy, or other conditions where VR use may be harmful
  • Improper application of topical anesthetics (lidocaine and prilocaine or tetracaine) before surgery
