Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Have an ischemic stroke
- Stroke duration between 2 and 6 months
- Score of 2b or 3 on the Thrombolysis in cerebral infarction (TICI) scale
- Score of 2 or higher on the upper extremity motor assessment of the NIH stroke scale
- Intact depth perception as assessed by the Titmus Stereopsis test
- Score of 24 or higher on the Mini-mental test
- Independent sitting balance
You will not qualify if you...
- Additional neurological diseases
- History of head injury
- Presence of brain tumor
- Previous cranial surgery
- Psychological disorder or mental health problem
- Prior stroke
- Aphasia or apraxia
- Upper extremity amputation
