Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age between 65 and 90 years
  • Had one or more falls in the past 12 months or scored 12 seconds or more on the Timed Up & Go test
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Diagnosis of dementia or significant cognitive impairment with a Mini Mental State Evaluation score below 24
  • Unable to walk independently at home
  • No medical clearance to participate
  • Regular participation in tai ji quan or multicomponent exercise programs two or more times weekly in the past 6 months
  • Any physical condition preventing moderate-intensity exercise
  • Unwilling to commit to the study duration or accept group assignment
