Malnutrition is a pathological condition in which dietary intake fails to meet the body's energetic or nutritional needs. It may be caused by macronutrient or micronutrient deficiencies, high energy expenditure, impaired nutrient absorption or assimilation. Malnutrition can affect all stages of life. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or older
- Weight loss greater than 5% in the past 6 months or more than 10% over a longer period
- Low BMI: less than 18.5 kg/m2 if under 70 years old or less than 22 kg/m2 if 70 years or older
- Underwent washed microbiota transplantation
You will not qualify if you...
- Expected survival time less than 3 months
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Patients considered unsuitable for enrollment by the investigator
