Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- BMI 6530 kg/m2
- Diagnosis of at least one of the following cardiovascular diseases: atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, adult congenital heart disease, or valvular heart disease
- Patients evaluated in the Cardiometabolic clinic
- Willingness to complete questionnaires and surveys
- Ability to complete monthly self-assessments at home
You will not qualify if you...
- BMI less than 30 kg/m2
- Pregnancy or currently breastfeeding
- Hemodynamically unstable cardiovascular disease
- Active cancer
- Autoimmune or systemic inflammatory diseases
- Severe kidney or liver failure
- Considered unsafe to participate by the study physician
- Use of medications affecting weight or energy intake/expenditure in the last 6 months, including weight loss and antipsychotic medications
- Active psychosis, mania, or substance use disorders
