Researchers are investigating the relationship between work-related quality of life, perceived stress levels, and blood pressure profiles that may indicate higher cardiovascular risk. The study focuses on working adults aged 40 to 65 without a history of hypertension or cardiovascular disease, aiming to identify how workplace conditions may impact heart health. This research is observational and conducted in primary care settings within the Burgundy region of France, an area concerned with cardiovascular disease prevention. Participants are working adults seen by participating general practitioners. They will have their work-related quality of life and stress assessed using specific questionnaires. Each participant will undergo 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring during a workday to detect patterns like masked hypertension and white coat hypertension. The study also includes interviews with some patients to understand their perspectives on blood pressure monitoring, as well as focus groups with healthcare professionals to discuss potential workplace interventions. Throughout the study, participants will complete questionnaires and wear a blood pressure monitor for a full day. Researchers will analyze the prevalence of higher-risk blood pressure patterns and explore how these relate to stress and work satisfaction. The study aims to provide insights that could help develop better screening and prevention strategies for cardiovascular risk related to workplace factors. Participation involves a one-time blood pressure monitoring and questionnaire completion, with no medication or treatment administered.
