Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patient aged 18 years or older
- No history of knee surgery except meniscal surgery
- Isolated proximal Sherman type 1 or 2 ACL tear
- Proximal Sherman type 1 or 2 ACL tear with meniscal lesion
- Proximal ACL tear with grade 1 or 2 injury to MCL or LCL (not grade 3)
- Surgery within 3 months of injury
- Surgical repair performed between January 2019 and July 2021
You will not qualify if you...
- Contralateral ACL tear
- ACL tear classified as Sherman type 3 or 4
- History of knee surgery other than meniscal surgery on the injured knee

Your Study Journey
Duration - 2 to 4 weeks
Participants are screened for eligibility to participate in the trial.
Duration - Up to 3 months from injury to surgery
Participants undergo surgical repair of the proximal ACL rupture followed by immediate post-operative care.
Duration - 5 years
Participants are followed for 5 years after surgery to assess the relapse rate and long-term outcomes of the ACL repair.
