Who may be eligible for this ACL clinical trial?

Adults aged 18 years or older with isolated proximal ACL tears classified as Sherman type 1 or 2 may be eligible. Both men and women can participate, and candidates should not have had prior knee surgery other than meniscal surgery. The injury must have occurred less than three months before surgery. You may qualify if you...

Patient aged 18 years or older
No history of knee surgery except meniscal surgery
Isolated proximal Sherman type 1 or 2 ACL tear
Proximal Sherman type 1 or 2 ACL tear with meniscal lesion
Proximal ACL tear with grade 1 or 2 injury to MCL or LCL (not grade 3)
Surgery within 3 months of injury
Surgical repair performed between January 2019 and July 2021

You will not qualify if you...

Contralateral ACL tear
ACL tear classified as Sherman type 3 or 4
History of knee surgery other than meniscal surgery on the injured knee
