Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Student at New Brunswick Health Sciences Technology High School aged 15 to 18 years and their adult family members aged 18 years or older who are New Jersey residents
- Adults must be eligible for at least one cancer screening other than skin cancer
- Participants must be fluent in English or Spanish, and the youth must speak the same language as the adult
- Breast cancer screening eligibility: women aged 40 to 74 years
- Cervical cancer screening eligibility: women aged 21 to 65 years with a cervix (no hysterectomy)
- Colorectal cancer screening eligibility: adults aged 45 to 75 years
- Prostate cancer screening eligibility: men aged 50 to 69 years (starting at 45 years for Black males)
- Lung cancer screening eligibility: adults aged 50 to 80 years who currently smoke or quit within the past 15 years
- Overall adult eligibility includes women aged 21 to 75 years, men aged 45 to 75 years, and adults aged 76 to 80 years who currently smoke or quit within the past 15 years
You will not qualify if you...
- Students younger than 15 years old
- Adults not eligible for any cancer screening of interest
- Participants unable to speak fluent English or Spanish
