On-Result Filters

Last updated: November 03, 2025

Once search results are displayed, a filter panel is shown alongside or above the trial cards (depending on the device). Participants can apply the following filters to customize their view:

Trial Status

  • Actively Recruiting: Trials currently accepting participants.
  • Not Yet Recruiting: Trials that will open for enrollment soon.
  • Enrollment Paused: Temporarily suspended recruitment.
  • Closed: Trials that are no longer accepting participants (typically hidden unless specifically selected).

This allows users to focus only on open opportunities if desired.

Gender

  • Filters trials based on eligibility for:
    • Male
    • Female
    • Transgender
    • Non-binary

This helps ensure participants only see studies where their gender identity is eligible for participation.

Age Group

  • Participants can filter studies based on the age ranges defined in eligibility criteria, such as:
    • Children (0–17 years)
    • Adults (18–64 years)
    • Seniors (65+ years)

Only trials matching the participant’s age bracket will appear when selected.

Phase

  • Filters trials by their development stage:
    • Phase 1 (Safety)
    • Phase 2 (Efficacy)
    • Phase 3 (Large-scale testing)
    • Phase 4 (Post-marketing)

This is particularly useful for users interested in either early-stage or later-stage research.
