Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Children with PBB diagnosis according to case definition
- Consent form signed by parents or legal guardians
You will not qualify if you...
- Comorbidities such as HIV, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or diabetes
- Serious illnesses like meningitis, pneumonia, bacteremia, or empyema in the previous three months
- Chronic respiratory conditions at enrollment (non-PBB bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, allergy, etc.)
- Having received mechanical ventilation
- Hospitalization or antibiotic use in the previous three months at enrollment
