Age: 18Years - 65Years
All Genders

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age between 18 and 65 years
  • Positive urine test for opioids
  • Current opioid use disorder with physical dependence
  • Interest in undergoing opioid tapering treatment
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Physical dependence on alcohol or benzodiazepines needing medical treatment
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • Enrolled in methadone or buprenorphine maintenance treatment
  • Clinically significant low blood pressure (below 90/60 mmHg) or slow heart rate (below 45 bpm)
  • History of myocardial infarction (heart attack)
  • Positive for hepatitis B surface antigen or hepatitis C antibody with abnormal liver function tests
  • Significant mental health or physical disorder, or life circumstances that may interfere with study participation
