Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 65 years
- Positive urine test for opioids
- Current opioid use disorder with physical dependence
- Interest in undergoing opioid tapering treatment
You will not qualify if you...
- Physical dependence on alcohol or benzodiazepines needing medical treatment
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Enrolled in methadone or buprenorphine maintenance treatment
- Clinically significant low blood pressure (below 90/60 mmHg) or slow heart rate (below 45 bpm)
- History of myocardial infarction (heart attack)
- Positive for hepatitis B surface antigen or hepatitis C antibody with abnormal liver function tests
- Significant mental health or physical disorder, or life circumstances that may interfere with study participation
