Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients diagnosed with decompensated heart failure (DHF)
  • Age 18 years or older
  • Intensive Care Unit Mobility Scale (IMS) greater than 4 at discharge from the ICU
  • Ability to sit and stand up from a chair without using upper limbs
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Cognitive impairments affecting understanding or test performance
  • Level of consciousness with Richmond Agitation and Sedation Scale (RASS) greater than +1 or less than -2
  • Glasgow Coma Scale score less than 13
  • Neurological or orthopedic conditions interfering with the assessment
  • Use of advanced invasive ventilatory or circulatory support
  • Presence of cardiogenic shock
