BeAT1D: Benign Autoimmunity and Type 1 Diabetes
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Type 1 diabetes defined by high blood sugar and insulin started within 6 months of clinical onset, or presence of at least one anti-islet auto-antibody
- Other forms of diabetes (e.g., type 2, ketosis-prone, familial, secondary, immunotherapy-induced) or other autoimmune endocrinopathies
- No diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance and no tumor, infectious, immune, autoimmune, or metabolic conditions affecting study variables
- Planned pancreatic lymphadenectomy during abdominal surgery for underlying condition
You will not qualify if you...
- Ongoing pregnancy
- Known HIV or HCV infection
- No social security coverage
- Under judicial protection
- No signed informed study consent
