Study of Full-Spectrum Cannabigerol Oil Effects on ADHD Symptoms in Adolescents Aged 12 to 17 Years

Researchers are evaluating the potential effects of full-spectrum cannabigerol CBG oil on cognitive and behavioral symptoms in adolescents aged 12 to 17 years diagnosed with Attention-DeficitHyperactivity Disorder ADHD. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial aims to study adolescents with ADHD who have not responded adequately to previous treatments. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that impacts academic, social, and emotional functioning. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either full-spectrum CBG oil or a placebo oil for 12 weeks. The CBG oil contains cannabigerol, cannabidiol, and a low dose of tetrahydrocannabinol and is given sublingually following a structured dose titration schedule starting with low doses and adjusted based on clinical response and tolerability. The placebo group will receive a matched medium-chain triglyceride MCT oil. Clinical assessments will occur at baseline, week 6, and week 12, with weekly remote monitoring to track adherence, safety, and dose adjustments. Throughout the study, participants will undergo clinical evaluations including ADHD symptom severity measured by the SNAP-IV questionnaire, quality of life assessments, emotional symptom scales, and sleep pattern questionnaires. Weekly remote monitoring will assess treatment adherence, tolerability, adverse events, and overall clinical progress. The study aims to provide rigorous data on the efficacy, tolerability, and safety of CBG oil in adolescents with ADHD, with total participation lasting 12 weeks.
