What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying the microbiome in people with cutaneous T cell lymphoma (CTCL) and comparing it to the microbiome of healthy individuals matched by age and sex. This pilot observational study aims to better understand how the microbial communities differ between these groups, including patients with various stages of CTCL, CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorders, plaque psoriasis, and moderate to severe atopic dermatitis, as well as healthy controls. Participants include several groups: those with different stages of CTCL, patients with CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorders, individuals with plaque psoriasis undergoing phototherapy, patients with atopic dermatitis using bleach bath therapy, and healthy volunteers without these conditions. The study does not involve treatments but focuses on observing and characterizing the skin microbiome in these populations. Participants will provide samples for microbiome analysis and be evaluated for bacterial diversity over three months. The study tracks bacterial diversity indices to understand microbial differences. Subjects must be between 18 and 89 years old and able to give informed consent. The total study period includes monitoring and sample collection to assess microbiome characteristics with no intervention or treatment provided during the study.
