Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Systemically healthy individuals aged 18 to 40 years with no active periodontal disease
- Inadequate width of keratinized gingiva (less than 2 mm)
- No systemic disease based on Modified Cornell Medical Index health questionnaire
- Non-smokers
- Full mouth plaque index and bleeding on probing scores of 15% or less
- No malocclusion, crowding, fillings, missing or extra mandibular anterior teeth
- No blood-borne conditions
You will not qualify if you...
- Currently undergoing active orthodontic treatment
- Previous periodontal surgery
- Systemic disease
- Use of blood thinners
- Use of drugs that cause gingival enlargement
- Mucogingival stress or bruxism
- Pregnancy or lactation
