Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Systemically healthy individuals aged 18 to 40 years with no active periodontal disease
  • Inadequate width of keratinized gingiva (less than 2 mm)
  • No systemic disease based on Modified Cornell Medical Index health questionnaire
  • Non-smokers
  • Full mouth plaque index and bleeding on probing scores of 15% or less
  • No malocclusion, crowding, fillings, missing or extra mandibular anterior teeth
  • No blood-borne conditions
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Currently undergoing active orthodontic treatment
  • Previous periodontal surgery
  • Systemic disease
  • Use of blood thinners
  • Use of drugs that cause gingival enlargement
  • Mucogingival stress or bruxism
  • Pregnancy or lactation
