What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying the use of circulating tumour DNA ctDNA testing in patients with advanced cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer, gastrointestinal stromal tumours, colorectal cancer, biliary tract cancer, and ovarian cancer. The goal is to determine how ctDNA testing can help personalize cancer treatment, detect resistance mechanisms, and provide additional prognostic information. This study involves patients who have experienced disease progression while receiving anti-cancer treatment at The Royal Marsden Hospital in the UK. Participants will have blood samples taken and analyzed using the Marsden360 ctDNA test. The results will be reviewed by the Royal Marsden Genomic Tumour Advisory Board GTAB, which will assess whether the ctDNA testing helped guide personalized care by identifying genomically-matched standard therapies or clinical trials, offering extra prognostic details, or avoiding the need for tissue biopsies. The study focuses on patients who have progressed on prior therapies within six weeks before enrollment. During the study, researchers will evaluate the clinical usefulness of the ctDNA results in aiding treatment decisions at six weeks after enrollment. They will monitor how often ctDNA testing identifies matched therapies or trials, provides additional prognostic information, and eliminates the need for biopsies. Participants will undergo blood sample collection and clinical monitoring as part of their usual care. The total study duration extends to December 2026, with ongoing assessment of ctDNA testings impact on personalized cancer treatment.
