What this Trial Is About

This research aims to compare two physical therapy methods, Hypopressive Exercises and the Paula Method, to improve urinary incontinence severity, pelvic floor muscle strength, and quality of life in postpartum women aged 25 to 40 who have had vaginal deliveries and experience stress urinary incontinence. The study will focus on multiparous women who are at least six weeks postpartum. Women with primary pregnancy, cesarean delivery, urge or mixed urinary incontinence, and certain medical conditions are excluded to ensure a specific participant group. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: Group A will receive Hypopressive exercises, and Group B will follow the Paula exercise protocol. Both groups will also perform standardized Kegel exercises for pelvic floor muscle activation and strengthening as a baseline treatment. Treatments will be delivered in two sessions per week over an 8-week period at a clinical setting. During the study, researchers will assess urinary incontinence severity using the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire, pelvic floor muscle strength with the Modified Oxford Scale, and quality of life through the Incontinence Impact Questionnaire. Data will be collected at baseline and after 8 weeks of treatment. Statistical analysis will be performed to compare the effectiveness of the two interventions in improving symptoms and quality of life for postpartum women.
