What this Trial Is About

Polycystic ovarian syndrome PCOS is a common hormonal disorder affecting women of reproductive age and is linked to various reproductive, metabolic, skin, and psychological issues. This trial evaluates and compares the effects of two therapiesneurodynamic stretching combined with diaphragmatic breathing and myofascial pain release therapyon reducing the intensity and duration of menstrual pain dysmenorrhea, improving sleep quality, and enhancing functional mobility in women with PCOS. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. Group A will undergo neurodynamic stretching, including abdominal, calf, and hamstring stretches with specific neural mobilization techniques progressing over six weeks. Group B will receive myofascial pain release therapy targeting fascial tightness and muscle stiffness in abdominal, pelvic, and lumbar regions with increasing pressure and self-release methods over the same period. Both interventions are provided three times per week on alternate days for a total of 18 sessions across six weeks. Participants will be assessed before and after the six-week treatment period using questionnaires and scales measuring pain intensity, menstrual pain disability, and sleep quality. The study includes written consent and randomization procedures, with all outcomes measured at baseline and after completion. The total study duration spans ten months, with ethical approval and oversight by Riphah International University.
