Comparing Freeze-Dried Bone Allograft and Collagen-Enriched Bovine Xenograft for Preserving Bone After Front Tooth Extraction and Implant Placement

Researchers are comparing two commonly used bone graft materialsfreeze-dried bone allograft FDBA and collagen-enriched bovine xenograft CEBXto preserve bone after removing a front tooth and before placing a dental implant. The study will evaluate differences in bone ridge dimensions after 16 weeks of healing, along with clinical details, implant esthetics, and patient satisfaction. This research involves patients needing anterior tooth extraction and implant replacement. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either FDBA or CEBX during alveolar ridge preservation. After 16 weeks of healing, cone beam computed tomography and intraoral scanning will assess bone changes. Implant placement and crown restoration will follow similar protocols for both groups. The study includes seven visits aligned with standard dental care procedures, including tooth extraction, bone grafting, implant placement, crown installation, and follow-ups. Throughout the study, researchers will collect demographic and clinical data, intraoral photos, and radiographic images. Outcome measures include changes in bone ridge dimensions, implant placement accuracy, bone tissue analysis, implant health parameters, crown esthetics, and patient satisfaction over up to 12 months post-implant. The total study duration covers healing and follow-up periods to monitor clinical and radiographic results as well as patient-reported outcomes.
